IVN (Independent Voter Network) has
published a Dissident Politics article that describes the corrosive effects of personal ideology on the rule of law. Liberals tend to be more accepting of laws that accord with liberal ideology, while conservatives tend to be more accepting of laws that accord with conservative ideology. The situation exemplifies the subjectivity of the values or morals that the two-party
system is built on. In Dissident Politics' opinion,
that does not best serve the public interest or the American people. It serves the two-party system at the
expense of the public interest and the rule of law.
